RM3.6m for H1N1 prevention kits in schools

JOHOR BARU, Mon: The Education Ministry is allocating RM3.6 million to provide Influenza A(H1N1) infection prevention kits to schools nationwide.

Its deputy minister Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong said the allocation for the distribution of thermometers, face masks and liquid sanitisers to all schools was decided through the 3K (Kebersihan, Kesihatan dan Keselamatan) or Cleanliness, Health and Safety Committee meeting recently.

"This is the best step in the ministry’s effort to prevent H1N1. Wearing face masks and using sanitisers are also part of an exercise in hygiene among students," he told reporters after attending a briefing on H1N1 developments at the Johor Education Department, here, today.

Wee said the ministry’s Finance Division had already approved the allocation and the State Education Departments were expected to receive the kits soon for distribution to schools.

He said every school would receive a thermometer while the number of masks and sanitisers supplied would depend on the number of students in a school.

In the latest development, he said, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Agama Johor Baru in Taman Johor Jaya, here, was ordered to be closed for a week from today after three of its students tested positive with H1N1.

He said the school’s closure was the second in Johor since Sekolah Menengah Teknik Perdagangan Johor Baru was closed last week, after 51 of its students were diagnosed with influenza-like illness.

Wee said thorough preparations were also being made for the main examinations in schools with H1N1 outbreak, with the invigilators instructed to place students infected with the virus in dedicated rooms to sit for the examinations.

"The UPSR examination will take place from Sept 8 to 10, followed by all other main examinations. We have also come up with several alternatives in conducting the examinations while facing the pandemic," he said.

hello everybody.....

i'm sure all of us realize and know about the issues og H1N1...we can see, every day the numbers of people who involve in this case increase rapidly.....sometime i feel traumatic to go outside from house because of worry may be infect to this epidemic disease ......

we can see, our government very alert and take fast action to prevent this problem....we also see that many education institutions have been closed in order to prevent this kind of disease including Uitm (place that i'm study right now)...hehe...actually..before uitm been closed....i can see many student in not good condition...in my class also...there are many of them cannot attend the lecture because of not feeling very well....

even though i'm a little bit worried at that time....but i still attend the class.....but the environment change because too many student getting fever,and other symptoms...that was my experience last week....now ...i'm at my home...when surfing the internet...i found the above news.....

so my comment on that news.....i think...it was the good way to prevent this situation...may be, it can increase the level of awareness in society mind set...it also can prevent the other students who not involve from get involve in this disease....so, we need to thanks to our government for find the way to prevent the situation before getting worse......

New life.....new spirit....new environment.......


first of alll....assalamualaikum .......

at last...i got the chance to write something in my blog..... huhu..i miss it......
this is the 3rd week .....i'm stay in shah alam.....haha....during that time.....my schedule was pact with various activity....now....it become slow down.... i hope ican start focus to my academic purpose.......

ooh...i'm forget....this week gonna have i event which is "sukan antara fakulti (SAF)"...hheee...i'm not involve in the game....so....i can relax and just given support to our friends and faculty itself......starting 25/7 until 4/8 ...if i not mistaken......

above my class.....hurm...quite full starting at 8.30 each day until 4 pm...at least....so busy.....this week....all class started as usuall...assignment, presentation....thing that need to be prepare....hope i can improve my skill and my knowledge as well.....

study in main campus quite differ with study at branches.... i miss my dungun branch....everything in good and steady....but in shah alam.....huhu...thing changes.....it take time to make myself comfortable with the new situation.....i will try hard to improve my self.......please pray for me.....

wanna know something????

till today...i never going out from uitm yet to shopping or hang out with friends at town.......hehe...may be after get my ptptn...i will go out.....hehe

just come back from my grandma house...stay there for a week...before going to shah alam for continue my study....gonna miss my little cousin..Ahmad ammar asyraaf...huhu....

now..try hard to finish all thing that need to bring there...check up everything...hurm 90% complete...i don't know what i feel now....may be a little bit worry + afraid + excited...and others...

1 day left before start the journey....unbelievable...hhuhu...i hope ..everything is all right...run as schedules... nothing missing or left..or what ever.....just wanna thing in good..
